Leader-Telegram Feature on North Guard Rachel Evjen (3/4/99.)
Eau Claire, WI -- They would like to pluck the angel wings off Rachel Evjen's back and toss aside her halo like a Frisbee. Sometimes they do. A growing number of opposing guards irritated by the 5-foot-4 Eau Claire North dynamo's get under-your-skin-like-a-tattoo-needle defensive tactics turn around and want to swat her. Trouble is, they'd swing and miss. They can't catch her.

Big Rivers Conference Preview (12/4/98.)
Eau Claire, WI -- It will read something like this: Dear Corrin, How are things in Brew Town? Congratulations on your awesome game against the
Badgers on Nov. 17. Wow. In the second half, you almost beat them all by yourself! Things are going pretty good up here -- especially since you've graduated.
Thanks for leaving behind your legacy. It was always a challenge to play against you. You showed me how hard I have to work to be an elite point guard.
Now it's my turn to be in the spotlight. Wish me luck!.
Paulsen, Johnson to stay close to home -- North trio taking aim at the big time (11/11/98.)

Eau Claire North High School. In the spring, Rachel Evjen and Chandra Johnson compete in track and field,
and Sis Paulsen plays softball. In the winter, Johnson and Evjen play basketball, and Paulsen plays hockey.
In the fall, Johnson and Paulsen play volleyball, and Evjen runs cross country.
