North 78, Tomah 11

North sizzles in opening win

Parr scores 24 in rout of Tomah

Everyone got to play Tuesday night, and nearly everyone scored for Eau Claire North as the Huskies opened their girls basketball season with a 78-11 nonconference rout of Tomah at the Doghouse.

Larissa Parr paved the way with 24 points and six rebounds for the Huskies, who led 24-2 after one quarter, 45-4 at halftime and 66-6 heading into the final quarter.

North shot 61 percent (20-for-33) from the field in the first half and finished at 49 percent (32-for-66) for the game.

Lindsey Rongstad added 13 points, followed by Rian Bauerkemper, Kricket Whyte and Angie Ziehme with eight points each. Eleven Huskies played at least 8 minutes each.
