North improves to 6-1 win 16-point win over La Crosse Central

A convincing third-quarter scoring run Tuesday night gave the Eau Claire North girls basketball team its sixth win in seven games this season.

Larissa Parr scored six points during a 12-point third-quarter spurt as North upended La Crosse Central 58-42 in a nonconference game at the Doghouse.

Parr led North with 17 points, while Kricket Whyte added 11, Amanda Eisold 10 and Lindsey Rongstad nine for the Huskies.

Both teams equaled each other's scoring output in the first two quarters before the North eruption.

Central's lone 3-pointer, made by Artina Stovey, cut North's lead to 26-25 before Parr made three baskets, Anne Connell hit a 3-pointer and Eisold made a free throw and a basket to give the Huskies a 38-25 lead.

Moments later Parr scored five straight points to make it 43-28.

Central didn't get closer than 12 points the rest of the way.

Jessica Hansen led Central with 15 points.
