Parr helps in two AAU wins

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Larissa Parr of Eau Claire North scored 25 points in the first two games of the Amateur Athletic Union Junior Olympics, helping her Wisconsin White team earn a pair of victories over the weekend.

Wisconsin White, coached by Eau Claire Regis' Chuck Morning, opened the week-long tournament by beating the Orlando Warriors 92-81 and the Middle Atlantic Wildcats 79-46. In the first game, Parr led the way with 15 points, followed by Janel McCarville of Stevens Point with 12. Jackie Dummer of Menomonie added seven points and Angie Ott of Chippewa Falls six. In the second game, McCarville led with 15, Amanda Mills of Hartland Arrowhead added 12 and Parr had 10.

The Wisconsin Red team, coached by Hudson's Dave Johnson, opened pool play with a win and a loss.
