No Rules finishes second

No Rules, a basketball team comprised of Northstar Middle School students Samantha Moore, Ashley Brown, Tracy Boyle and Molly Anderson, finished second in the girls 12-year-old division at a national Gus Macker 3-on-3 tournament Oct. 23-24 in Celebration, Fla.

The team finished the two-day tournament with a 5-2 record, losing only to an all-star team from Indiana. After losing to the Indiana team on Saturday, No Rules won three straight games in the double-elimination tournament Sunday to reach the final against Indiana. No Rules won the first game 11-7 before bowing 10-8 in the second.

No Rules qualified for the event by winning a regional tournament in La Crosse Aug. 28-29.
