Planert ignites Huskies

North rallies past La Crosse Logan for 15th victory

LA CROSSE – Emilee Planert scored 20 points to lead Eau Claire North past La Crosse Logan 70-66 in a nonconference girls basketball game Tuesday night.

Larissa Parr scored 12 of her 16 points in the first half, but the Huskies trailed 37-33 at intermission and 44-43 through three quarters.

Kricket Whyte scored eight of her 17 points and Planert added nine in the fourth quarter to help the Huskies (15-4) end the game on a 27-22 run. North wrapped things up by going 9-for-10 from the free-throw line over the final two minutes of the game.

Nicki Robinson added nine points for the Huskies, and Whyte had a team-high nine rebounds.

Dana Levendoski paced Logan with 26 points and seven rebounds.
