Huskies still top dog in the BRC  .. North Boxscore

NEW RICHMOND -- Beth Hoenisch fueled a second-quarter surge Friday night that propelled the Big Rivers Conference-leading Eau Claire North Huskies to a 55-31 girls basketball victory over New Richmond.

Hoenisch finished with 13 points and Kristi Gehring chipped in 10 to lead a balanced attack for the Huskies (6-0, 10-1), who lead defending champion Hudson by one game in the BRC.

Michelle Berget scored 12 points to pace the Tigers (0-6, 1-9), who trailed 14-8 entering the second period when Hoenisch and the Huskies caught fire.

Hoenisch scored six points in the second period as North's lead grew to 30-14 by halftime.
