HUDSON -- Five seniors played their last game for the North Huskies as Menomonie defeated the Huskies 56-40 in the Sectional semi-final game Friday.

The Huskies couldn't overcome a very cold shooting first half (18%), an overabundance of turnovers (24 to Menonomie's 14), and an unbalance of fouls (28 to Menomonie's 14) as the Indians played an inspired game which advanced them to the Sectional Finals in Marshfield.
Emotions ran high late in the fourth quarter as it became apparent that the Huskies State Tournament bid was coming to an end. Senior Rachel Evjen couldn't hold back the tears when she was forced to leave the floor for the final time as a Husky after being called for her fifth fall.
Larissa Parr lead the Huskies with 13 points and 7 rebounds, while Chandra Johnson scored 11 points and grabbed 10 boards.
